OCVibe, a $4 billion redevelopment project in Anaheim backed by the Samueli family, has signed on its first restaurant partner and chosen the first venue concept that will open at the mixed-use hub starting in 2026.Â
A Restaurant of the River Jetty Restaurant Group, founded by Newport Beach native and director and producer McG and his business partner Jordan Otterbein, will join the first phase of construction at the OCVibe site surrounding the Honda Center. This will be the duo’s sixth location in Orange County.Â
The Samuelis also plan to revive the Golden Bear nightclub, originally located in Huntington Beach, as one of now three entertainment venues that will be built in the downtown area. The historic hall, with a 300-person capacity, is expected to open in the second phase of the project beginning in 2027.Â
“OCVibe is set to become a truly unique destination, celebrating and bringing together the diverse cultures that define our vibrant region,” Chief Executive Bill Foltz said in a statement.Â
Earlier this week, River Jetty was named the new operator of The Lido Theater.Â
