Pursuing a return to physical expansion, Anaheim-based Pacsun will open its first-ever international store at the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai in spring 2026.
The youth apparel retailer reported that in-store traffic saw double digit growth this year, highlighting “a resurgence in brick-and-mortar performance” across its U.S. footprint.
Pacsun plans to open up to 20 new stores in the Middle East over the next five years through a partnership with developer Majid Al Futtaim. This includes a flagship location in Abu Dhabi.
The company said it’s also expanding its domestic footprint with plans to add 20 to 35 new U.S. stores over the next three years, with nine leases already signed for 2026. Pacsun said this will be “its most ambitious domestic retail expansion” in 18 years.
“What begins on our social channels—inspiration and community—ultimately drives young people to see it in person,” Chief Executive Brieane Olson said in a statement. “Doubling down on brick-and-mortar simply reflects what our community is already telling us.”
Pacsun opened nine new retail stores in 2025, bringing the total count to 306 as of Dec. 22. The company has more than 400 employees in Orange County.
