Yorba Linda Hilltop Estate Sells for $11.8M

A five-bedroom and eight-bathroom hilltop estate in Yorba Linda sold for $11.8 million on Sept. 23, according to Homes.com.

The 9,637-square-foot house on 5.15 acres sold for $1,224 per square foot and changed hands at 13% below list price. The estate, at 20303 Fairmont Blvd., Yorba Linda, was built in 2006 and sold after being on the market for 20 days.

Bill Etchegaray of Century 21 Affiliated represented the seller, and Christie Boudreau of Seven Gables Real Estate was the buyer’s agent.

The Tuscan-inspired house, billed as a “private hilltop resort,” has views of Catalina Island on a clear day and Disneyland fireworks. The estate includes a home office, 10-seat home theater, poker lounge, wine cellar, outdoor kitchen and regulation basketball court.

Most houses in Yorba Linda, a mostly residential city of nearly 70,000 people in northeastern Orange County, are mid-century ranch homes, according to Homes.com.

The median home price in Yorba Linda, also according to Redfin, is $1.4 million. Redfin also noted the three metro areas feeding new residents into Yorba Linda were Houston, Washington, D.C. and Boston, respectively.
