Aviation Capital Group said today it had ordered 50 Boeing 737 Max jetliners. The price was not disclosed.
The Newport Beach-based aircraft lessor said the order consisted of 25 model 737-8 and 25 model 737-10 airplanes.
ACG President and CEO Thomas Baker said in a statement that the order “supports a key pillar of our growth strategy and reinforces our commitment to the latest fuel-efficient aircraft technology,”
The acquisition of the 50 jets increases ACG’s Boeing 737 Max order book to 121, including 50 firm orders for the 737-10, Boeing said in a statement.
Aviation Capital Group had approximately 470 owned, managed and committed aircraft as of September 30 that were leased to roughly 90 airlines in approximately 50 countries.
