Harbinger Announces Partnership with American Rheinmetall

To develop, field ground robots for Defense Department

Harbinger Motors Inc. today announced a partnership with American Rheinmetall, the U.S. hub for German arms maker Rheinmetall, to develop and deliver robotics and uncrewed ground vehicles to the Department of Defense, which the Trump administration officially designates as the Department of War.

“Partnering with American Rheinmetall, one of the most capable ground systems integrators serving the Department of War, allows us to bring our autonomous-ready platform at a price point that makes true attritable mass possible,” Harbinger Chief Executive John Harris said in a statement.

The partnership will combine Harbinger’s autonomous hybrid vehicle platform with American Rheinmetall’s integration of combat vehicles and mission systems to create “affordable, scalable robotic solutions” for the battlefield.

For more information on the partnership, see the June 8 print issue of the Business Journal.
