Pura Vida Miami opened a new café at South Coast Plaza in January, marking the company’s first location in Orange County.
The new café is located on the shopping center’s first floor in the Bloomingdale’s wing and is the latest sign of Pura Vida’s expansion plans.
Pura Vida was founded in 2012 by Omer and Jennifer Horev and serves acai bowls, superfood smoothies and salads across 40 locations in Florida, New York and California.
Last November, private equity firm TSG Consumer became a minority owner in Pura Vida and plans to help the company expand across the U.S.
“This investment marks a pivotal and energizing moment in our growth,” CEO Omer Horev said in a statement. “With TSG’s experience supporting founder-led consumer brands and their values-driven approach, we are confident that we can continue to scale while delivering the high-quality, nutritious offerings our customers know and love.”
