Emerald Expositions LLC in San Juan Capistrano acquired several trade shows from New York-based Vendome Group LLC and Macfadden Communications Group LLC. Financial terms of the two transactions were not disclosed.
It bought from Vendome the Healthcare Design Conference and Expo and the complementary Healthcare Design Magazine, which focus on design for healthcare facilities; the Environments For Aging conference and magazine that center on homes and communities for the aging population; and Construction SuperConference, an event for lawyers working in commercial construction markets. All three trade shows are based in Cleveland.
It also bought International Pizza Expo and Pizza Today magazine from Macfadden Communications. The expo, based in Louisville, Ky., is the largest trade show for pizza professionals in the world and ranks in the top 200 largest trade shows in the U.S., according to Emerald.
