ARCHITECTURE

Irvine-based GAA Architects Inc. promoted Roger Deitos to the position of associate principal. He will direct design and oversee all phases of architectural design and planning.

AVIATION

Rosie Ritchie has been hired at Santa Ana-based SummitJets Inc. as a sales and marketing representative. She will pursue clients and develop new marketing strategies.

BANKING

Holly J. Carter has joined Newport Beach-based CommerceWest Bank as operations manager.

Mortgage banking firm Pacific Southwest Re-alty Services has added Scott Calder and Joel Gruber to its Irvine Office. They each have more than 30 years experience in real estate finance.

Union Bank of California named Kyung “Kim” Ha senior vice president in commercial banking for Orange County. She will be responsible for providing loans and other services to OC firms with sales of $30 million or more

BUSINESS SERVICES

Gerald Crews and Wade MacQuarrie formed Irvine consulting firm Crews MacQuarrie and Associates Inc. Both recently served as principals of Buck Consultants Inc.

Stephen Puente, a former vice president with Kraft Foods Inc., has joined Santa Ana-based consulting firm ManagEase Inc.’s advisory board. Puente leads Puente HR Consulting, based in Laguna Beach. ManagEase also hired Carole Horton-Howe as a paralegal.

Santa Ana-based National Water and Power has appointed Scott Southron as senior vice president and chief financial officer. The firm also named John De Simone vice president for corporate development. Southron joined NWP from Roth Capital Partners, where he was co-head of their technology investment banking practice. John De Simone was director of planning and vice president of transactions at HomeStore.com.

Edward Ure & #324;o has joined the practice development department of Corbin & Wertz, an Irvine accounting, consulting and financial services firm. Ure & #324;o will develop new and existing client relationships for the firm.

CONSTRUCTION

Tustin-based DMK Inc. promoted John Gunther director of project development and Larry Witten to estimator. Gunther previously was a project manager and Witten was a superintendent.

Robert C. Liewer has been named vice president of development for Irvine-based MBK Homes Ltd., the homebuilding division of MBK Real Estate Ltd. Liewer recently was a vice president for Taylor Woodrow Homes Inc.

HEALTHCARE

Prescription Solutions, a pharmacy and medical management company, based in Costa Mesa, has named Jan D. Hirsch director of clinical research. Hirsch recently served as director of global pharmacoeconomic strategy and research for Allergan Inc.

Ellen Severoni, president and CEO of Orange-based California Health Decisions, has been named a consumer representative to the Integrated Healthcare Association’s Steering Committee. The group will be responsible for the implementation of the IHA’s Pay-for-Performance initiative, which would require six major HMOs to reward physician groups based on patient satisfaction.

INSURANCE

William R. Curtis has been named chairman of RiskProNet International Inc. in Irvine, a network of insurance brokerages. Curtis is managing partner of Irvine-based Sullivan-Curtis Monroe.

LAW

William B. Tate II has joined law firm Bryan Cave LLP as a partner in its Irvine office. A member of the firm’s real estate group, Tate previously served as head of Morrison & Foerster LLP’s Orange County real estate group.

PUBLIC SERVICE

San Clemente resident Gavin S. Herbert will serve as honorary chairman of the fundraising campaign to renovate San Clemente’s landmark Casa Romantica and convert it into South Orange County’s first cultural and education center. Herbert is chairman emeritus of Allergan Inc.

REAL ESTATE

GE Capital Real Estate named Jack Inglis managing director of the western region of the company’s North American debt business. Inglis has been with GE Capital Real Estate for 15 years.

TECHNOLOGY

Cal Morrell, former president of the Interplay.com division of Interplay Entertain-ment Corp., joined Irvine’s Gamespy Industries Inc. as senior vice president, online distribution.

Brian Pearson has been named director of information services for Newport Beach-based Ruby’s Diner Inc., which operates 36 1940s-style restaurants in seven states. Pearson was dir-ector of information technology at Sylvan Learning Centers.

Irvine-headquartered Foote, Cone & Belding appointed Scott Tetzlaff to FCB North America director of technology. Tetzlaff joined FCB Southern California (then Bozell) in 1995.
