Bergen Brunswig Corp., Orange, reported earnings of $21.6 million on revenue of $4.8 billion in its fiscal first quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with earnings of $14.7 billion on revenue of $4.5 billion in its prior first quarter.

Fluor Corp., Aliso Viejo, reported a net loss of $4.0 million (including a one-time $15.6 million charge related to the spin-off of Massey Energy Co.) on revenue of $1.87 billion for the two-month “stub” period ended Dec. 31 (created when the company shifted to a calendar fiscal year), compared with earnings of $27.8 million on revenue of $1.72 billion in the 1999 period.

Western Digital Corp., Lake Forest, posted earnings of $1.8 million on revenue of $530.7 million for its fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 29, compared with a net loss of $15.2 million on revenue of $560.2 million in its previous second quarter. For the six-month period, the firm posted a net loss of $31.7 million on revenue of $970.9 million, compared with a net loss of $121.5 million on revenue of $967.1 million in the prior-year period.

Beckman Coulter Inc., Fullerton, reported earnings of $43.0 million on sales of $525.3 million in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with earnings of $38.6 million on revenue of $517.3 million in the prior fourth quarter. For the year, Beckman Coulter reported earnings of $125.5 million on revenue of $1.9 billion, compared with earnings of $106 million on revenue of $1.8 billion in 1999.

Allergan Inc., Irvine, reported earnings of $65.1 million on revenue of $400.7 million for the fourth quarter, compared with earnings of $59.3 million on revenue of $380.3 million in the fourth quarter of 1999. For the year, the company posted earnings of $215.1 million on revenue of $1.56 billion, compared with earnings of $188.2 million on revenue of $1.41 billion in 1999.

Varco International Inc., Orange, reported earnings of $14.1 million on revenue of $245.6 million in the fourth quarter, compared with a net loss of $0.7 million on revenue of $245.0 million in the fourth quarter of 1999. For the year, the company posted earnings of $21.1 million on revenue of $866.6 million, compared with earnings of $29.8 million on revenue of $975.8 million in 1999.

DDi Corp., Anaheim, reported earnings of $12.9 million on revenue of $171.3 million in the fourth calendar quarter, compared with a net loss of $5.3 million on revenue of $78.7 million in the fourth quarter of 1999. For the year, the company posted earnings of $20.2 million on revenue of $497.7 million, compared with a net loss of $17.4 million on revenue of $292.5 million in 1999.

RemedyTemp Inc., Aliso Viejo, reported earnings of $2.9 million on revenue of $149.5 million for its fiscal first quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with earnings of $3.9 million on revenue of $150.1 million in its previous first quarter.

Sybron Dental Specialties Inc., Orange, posted earnings of $7.2 million on revenue of $97.5 million for its first fiscal quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with pro forma earnings of $10.0 million on revenue of $93.4 million for its previous first quarter, when it was a unit of Sybron International Corp., now Apogent Technologies.

Capital Pacific Holdings Inc., Newport Beach, reported earnings of $1.8 million on revenue of $96 million for its fiscal third quarter ended Nov. 30, compared with earnings of $0.8 million on revenue of $66 million in its previous third quarter. For the nine-month period, the company reported earnings of $6.7 million on revenue of $286 million, compared with earnings of $2.7 million on revenue of $215 million in the prior-year period.

Newport Corp., Irvine, reported earnings of $12.3 million on revenue of $86.7 million in the fourth calendar quarter, compared with earnings of $3.0 million on revenue of $42.3 million in the fourth quarter of 1999. For the year, the company posted earnings of $27.8 million on revenue of $252.9 million, compared with earnings of $7.9 million on revenue of $144.1 million in 1999.

Health Care Property Investors Inc., Newport Beach, reported earnings of $36.6 million on revenue of $83.2 million, including funds from operations of $43.5 million, in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with earnings of $27 million on revenue of $71.1 million, including funds from operations of $36.9 million, in the prior fourth quarter. For the year, HCP reported earnings of $133.8 million on revenue of $329.8 million, with funds from operations of $171.3 million, compared with earnings of $96.2 million on revenue of $224.8 million and funds from operations of $114.5 million in 1999.

Water Pik Technologies Inc., Newport Beach, reported earnings of $4.9 million on revenue of $84.3 million in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with pro forma earnings of $4.3 million on revenue of $79.9 million in the prior fourth quarter, when it was a unit of Allegheny Technologies Inc. For the year, Water Pik reported earnings of $10.2 million on revenue of $296.1 million, compared with pro forma earnings of $6.8 million on revenue of $260.1 million in 1999.

Corinthian Colleges Inc., Santa Ana, reported earnings of $6.6 million on revenue of $60.8 million for its fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with earnings of $3.9 million on revenue of $42.2 million in its previous second quarter. For the six-month period, the company posted earnings of $11.0 million on revenue of $112.6 million, compared with earnings of $6.2 million on revenue of $80.8 million in the prior-year period.

Quest Software Inc., Irvine, reported a net loss of $8.7 million on revenue of $56.1 million for the fourth calendar quarter, compared with earnings of $1.6 million on revenue of $24.3 million in the fourth quarter of 1999. For the year, the company posted a net loss of $25.1 million on revenue of $126.8 million, compared with earnings of $3.4 million on revenue of $54.3 million in 1999.

Nationwide Health Properties Inc., Newport Beach, reported earnings of $17.6 million on revenue of $42.9 million, including funds from operations of $25.0 million, in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with earnings of $18.2 million on revenue of $42.2 million, with funds from operations of $25.4 million, in the prior fourth quarter. For the year, Nationwide reported earnings of $71.2 million on revenue of $171.4 million and funds from operations of $99.6 million, compared with earnings of $70.8 million on revenue of $163.9 million and funds from operations of $99.6 million in 1999.

Resources Connection Inc., Costa Mesa, posted earnings of $2.8 million on revenue of $45.0 million in its second fiscal quarter ended Nov. 30, compared with earnings of $1.2 million on revenue of $28.6 million in its previous second quarter. For the six-month period, the firm posted earnings of $5.0 million on revenue of $84.2 million, compared with earnings of $2.8 million on revenue of $54.1 million in the prior-year period.

CorVel Corp., Irvine, reported earnings of $3.0 million on revenue of $46.3 million in the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with earnings of $3.3 million on revenue of $52.2 million in the prior third quarter. For the nine months ended Dec. 31, CorVel reported earnings of $8.9 million on revenue of $137.8 million, compared with earnings of $9.8 million on revenue of $154.5 million in the prior nine-month period.

Universal Electronics Inc., Cypress, reported earnings of $4.8 million on revenue of $38.8 million in the calendar fourth quarter, compared with earnings of $3.8 million on revenue of $33.3 million in the fourth quarter of 1999. For the year, the company posted earnings of $11.6 million on revenue of $124.7 million, compared with earnings of $7.7 million on revenue of $105.1 million in 1999.

MTI Technology Corp., Anaheim, reported a net loss of $5.0 million on revenue of $29.4 million for its fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 30, compared with earnings of $2.5 million on revenue of $46.6 million in its previous third quarter. For the nine-month period, the company reported a net loss of $15.8 million on revenue of $89.7 million, compared with earnings of $11.2 million on revenue of $129.8 million in its prior-year period.

Eldorado Bancshares Inc., Laguna Hills, reported earnings of $2.5 million on revenue of $18.5 million for the fourth quarter, compared with a net loss of $7.4 million (including a net loss of $8.2 million from discontinued operations) on revenue of $17.5 million in the fourth quarter of 1999. For the year, the company reported earnings of $8.8 million on revenue of $94.7 million, compared with a net loss of $3.4 million (including a net loss of $9.7 million from discontinued operations) on revenue of $69.4 million in 1999.

Autobytel.com Inc., Irvine, posted a net loss of $3.3 million on revenue of $16.8 million in the fourth quarter, compared with a net loss of $4.9 million on revenue of $12.4 million in the fourth quarter of 1999. For the year, the company reported a net loss of $29.0 million on revenue of $54.0 million, compared with a net loss of $23.3 million on revenue of $35.8 million in 1999.

ICU Medical Inc., San Clemente, posted earnings of $3.8 million on revenue of $16.6 million for the fourth quarter, compared with earnings of $3.1 million on revenue of $13.2 million in the fourth quarter of 1999. For the year, the company posted earnings of $11.8 million on revenue of $56.2 million, compared with earnings of $9.4 million on revenue of $47.0 million in 1999.

Odetics Inc., Anaheim, reported a net loss of $20.0 million on revenue of $14.1 million for its fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with earnings of $20.7 million (including a one-time gain of $38.7 million from litigation) on revenue of $15.2 million in its previous third quarter. For the nine-month period, the company posted a net loss of $24.8 million (including a $19.1 million one-time gain) on revenue of $43.1 million, compared with earnings of $11.6 million (including the $38.7 million gain) on revenue of $47.9 million in the prior-year period.

Troy Group Inc., Santa Ana, reported earnings of $0.4 million on revenue of $12.2 million in its fiscal fourth quarter ended Nov. 30, compared with earnings of $2.3 million on revenue of $17.7 million in its previous fourth quarter. For the fiscal year, the company posted earnings of $2.4 million on revenue of $51.7 million, compared with earnings of $5.8 million on revenue of $58.6 million in its prior year.

Quality Systems Inc., Tustin, reported earnings of $1.0 million on revenue of $10.3 million for its fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with earnings of $0.5 million on revenue of $8.8 million in its prior third quarter. For the nine-month period, Quality Systems reported earnings of $2.3 million on revenue of $29.3 million, compared with earnings of $2.0 million on revenue of $27.6 million in the prior-year period.

Biomerica Inc., Newport Beach, posted a net loss of $0.6 million on revenue of $2.3 million in the fiscal second quarter ended Nov. 30, compared with a net loss of $0.7 million on revenue of $1.9 million in the prior second quarter. For the six months ended Nov. 30, Biomerica posted a net loss of $1.5 million on revenue of $4.2 million, compared with a net loss of $1.7 million on revenue of $3.8 million in the prior six-month period.

Cardiac Science Inc., Irvine, reported fourth-quarter revenue of $1.5 million and annual revenue of $4.2 million for 2000, compared with annual revenue of $0.1 million in 1999. The company did not release any other figures.

Kanakaris Wireless Inc., Newport Beach, reported a net loss of $13.0 million on revenue of $0.6 million for its fiscal year ended Sept. 30, compared with a net loss of $3.5 million on revenue of $1.0 million in its previous fiscal year. The firm also issued a press release reporting revenue of $0.6 million in its fiscal first quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with revenue of $0.1 million in its previous first quarter. The company did not release bottom-line figures for the quarter.

MindArrow Systems Inc., Aliso Viejo, reported a net loss of $5.4 million on revenue of $1.0 million in its fiscal first quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with a net loss of $2.3 million on negligible revenue in its previous first quarter.
