Marsh & McLennan to Sell Putnam for $3.9B

Insurance broker Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc. said on Thursday that it would sell its troubled money manager, Putnam Investments, to a unit of Canada’s Power Financial Corp. for $3.9 billion.
