Karma Automotive to Collaborate with Line Mobility

Irvine automaker will provide engineering and manufacturing resources to build autonomous public transit systems

Karma Automotive is partnering with Line Mobility, a maker of public transportation systems, to provide resources in technology and software for building future transit systems.

Line Mobility is developing an automated, electric transit vehicle platform for urban areas using a patented “guideway” network located above street level to move passengers faster and safer than other autonomous vehicles or conventional transport.

The new collaboration will give Line Mobility access to Karma’s zero-emission vehicle technology including engineering and design services and manufacturing capabilities.

“We seek to use our elevated product and market position to not only celebrate the success of our core clients, but also to pilot the technologies that will elevate society as a whole,” Karma Chief Executive and President Marques McCammon said in a statement.
