Edwards Lifesciences Corp. has appointed Theodora “Doretta” Mistras as the company’s new chief financial officer and corporate vice president.
The transition comes seven months after it was announced that Scott Ullem, who has served as CFO since 2014, was stepping down from his role. Edwards previously said that Ullem would continue in an advisory role once a new CFO was appointed.
“We are very pleased to welcome Doretta to Edwards as our next CFO,” Edwards Chief Executive Bernard Zovighian said in a statement.
Mistras joins Edwards from Canonsburg, Pennsylvania-based global healthcare company Viatras, where she was CFO since 2024. Prior to Viatris, Mistras held leadership roles in healthcare investment banking at Citigroup Global and Goldman Sachs.
Shares in Edwards were unchanged today at $83.15 apiece and a $48 billion market cap (NYSE: EW).
