Irvine Spectrum Adds First OC Shake Shack

Two more OC restaurants in the works

New York City-based Shake Shack is opening its first-ever Orange County location this summer at the Irvine Spectrum Center.

The burger restaurant will be located next to the Regal movie theater on the north side of the Irvine shopping center, which currently counts 169 stores.

“Irvine Spectrum has been a great partner for our first OC Shack, and we are looking forward to growing our presence in the market with further planned Shacks in Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach,” Chief Development Officer Andrew McCaughan said in a statement.

The Spectrum is OC’s fifth largest retail center with total sales of $631 million as of June 2022.

The upcoming Huntington Beach location will also include a drive-thru.

The first Shake Shack store opened in 2004 and the company now has more than 430 restaurants in the U.S. and internationally.
