Huntington Beach-based BJ’s Restaurants Inc. opened its first store in New Jersey in the Teterboro area.
The restaurant seats about 225 guests in a 7,300-square-foot site and offers a 130-item menu.
It’s the chain’s third store in the “New York metro market,” according to said Greg Trojan, president and CEO.
Industry analysts, citing BJ’s Restaurant’s annual report, said the New Jersey store is within the company’s usual 7,000- to 10,000-square-foot size. Analysts said the average customer’s bill is about $14 and the average restaurant generates between $4.9 million and $5.6 million in annual sales.
BJ’s Restaurants currently owns and operates 185 casual dining restaurants in 24 states. It is the second largest Orange County-based restaurant chain, with systemwide sales of about $920 million and 1,379 local employees.
