Capital Bank Promotes Execs

San Juan Capistrano-based Capital Bank promoted Danna Murphy to chief operating officer, a new position, in addition to her role as chief financial officer.

The bank also promoted H. Kent Falk to the post of senior vice president, Orange County regional manager. He had been SVP and credit administrator.

Capital’s main revenue comes from loans to small and middle-market businesses, and to individuals. It has two locations: one in San Juan Capistrano and one in Encinitas.

Shares in the company are traded over-the-counter. Capital Bank reported 2016 net income of $3.2 million on $14.8 million in revenue. Total assets in 2016 climbed $19 million, or 7%, to $306 million.
