Alorica Plans to Hire 33,000

Alorica Inc., an Irvine-based provider of call centers, said it plans to hire 33,000 around the world, saying it’s added 20 new clients in the first half this year.

The company said it’s mobilized 90% of its accounts and 70,000 workers in 14 countries to work at home. The company has 100,000 employees worldwide.

Alorica said it’s placing emphasis on providing career development opportunities to people who otherwise have limited prospects in disadvantaged areas.

“While our communities are dealing with this widespread health and economic crisis, we’re pleased to be able to offer jobs to thousands who are hoping to earn a living safely at one of our contact centers or working from home,” Alorica Chief Operating Officer Greg Haller said in a statement.
