Newport Gateway Lands Callahan & Blaine, Arbonne

Newport Gateway, the two-tower, 580,000-square-foot office campus near the corner of MacArthur Boulevard and Jamboree Road, has landed a pair of notable local firms as tenants.

Callahan & Blaine, the trial and litigation firm that was long based in the Hutton Centre office complex in South Coast Metro, last month completed its relocation to the Irvine Company-owned complex, which counts a pair of 14-story towers that overlook the Upper Newport Bay and UCI.

The law firm is leasing 45,000 square feet at the 19900 MacArthur Blvd. tower at Newport Gateway, occupying the two top floors of the building.

Also new to the campus: multi-level marketing cosmetics company Arbonne International, which this month opened its new headquarters at the 19800 MacArthur Blvd. tower. The space runs about 22,500 square feet, according to CoStar records.

Arbonne, which sells a line of makeup, skin lotions, and other nutritional products, had been based elsewhere in Irvine.

Irvine Co. has owned Newport Gateway—which counts an Irvine address—for 20 years, having paid a reported $215 million for it.

Adding Attorneys

Officials with Callahan & Blaine said their decision to relocate was a reflection of the firm’s “exceptional growth trajectory,” having added seven attorneys over the past 18 months, representing 25% growth.

The firm ranked No. 12 on the Business Journal list in November of the fastest growing law firms in Orange County.

The firm ranked No. 25 in the Business Journal’s latest ranking of OC’s largest law firms, by attorney count.

“After more than a quarter century at Hutton Center, this move represents both our firm’s evolution and our commitment to Orange County,” Edward Susolik, CEO and President of Callahan & Blaine, said in a statement.

“We have become Orange County’s top litigation firm, and we felt it was important for our offices to reflect that achievement while providing our team and clients with a world-class environment.”

The relocation project and design of the new offices was supervised by senior partners Peter Bauman and Javier van Oordt.

45+ Years

Arbonne, which last year marked its 45th anniversary, has seen large swings in its office presence over the years. Roughly a decade ago, the firm counted a nearly 146,000-square-foot corporate base in the Spectrum area of Irvine, with about 70,000 square feet of that office space.

Since then, the company—part of France’s Groupe Rocher—has seen a number of corporate restructurings and executive changes.

“Our company was built on passion, perseverance and people,” said Arbonne CEO Jen Orlando, who was named to that position in 2023. “As we step into 2026, this new beginning marks more than a move – it’s us stepping boldly into our future. Our exceptional new space, surrounded by nature, is designed to enhance our employees’ experience and productivity.”
