UCI Law Students to Help Staff Santa Ana Clinic

The Legal Aid Society will count on University of California, Irvine, Law School students for help at a newly opened employment-law clinic in Santa Ana that offers free services to low-wage workers.

The clinic, dubbed the Workers’ Rights Clinic, will provide services on workplace matters ranging from wage-and-hour regulations to discrimination.

It was founded by San Francisco-based Legal Aid Society Employment Law Center in collaboration with the Legal Aid Society of Orange County, whose Santa Ana office will house the new clinic.

UC Irvine laws students will conduct interviews and provide legal assistance under the supervision of employment-law attorneys.

The clinic is expected to offer services every other Tuesday evening during fall and spring semesters.
