A new dining concept called Good Boy from Costa Mesa’s Specialty Restaurants Corp. will open in the former Hendrix Restaurant & Bar space at Ocean Ranch Village in Laguna Niguel.
Good Boy is expected to open in early 2027. This will be Specialty’s second restaurant in OC in addition to Orange Hill in the city of Orange; the company currently operates 17 restaurants in the U.S.
“Good Boy will be a playful, steak-forward concept with a ‘no veto’ menu designed to offer something for everyone,” Chief Operations Officer Ryan Smith said in a statement.
Specialty Restaurants ranks No. 20 among Orange County’s largest restaurant companies with $123.9 million in annual systemwide sales.
Ocean Ranch Village is owned and operated by Aliso Viejo-based Shea Properties.
