Midday Stock Roundup

Markets were muted as the U.S. House of Representatives voted on articles of impeachment against President Trump.

The S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average ticked up 0.1% in midday trading to 3,195.65 and 28,288.38, while the Nasdaq was up 0.2% to 8,842.29.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond jumped 2.2% to 1.93%.

The price of gold was down 0.1% to $1,479.

A barrel of oil cost about 0.1% more at $61.

TECHNOLOGY

Irvine-based Alteryx Inc. (NYSE: AYX) climbed 3% to $100.48 and a $6.4 billion market cap. Cowen maintained an outperform rating and $147 price target on shares in the data analytics software maker saying a recent 10% decline in price was a buying opportunity. Alteryx is up about 50% on the year.

MANUFACTURING

Kaiser Aluminum Corp. (Nasdaq: KALU) declined 3.5% to $112.17 and a $1.8 billion market cap. The Foothill Ranch-based metals maker this week ratified a new 5-year labor agreement with the United Steelworkers union.
