Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 fell 0.2% in midday trading to 2,988.86.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.1% to 26,928.79.

The Nasdaq ticked down 0.1% to 8,158.72.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond jumped 4.5% to 2.04%.

The price of gold declined 1.5% to $1,399.

The price of oil was flat at $57.34 a barrel.

MANUFACTURING

Bridgford Foods Corp. (Nasdaq: BRID) in Anaheim rose 5% to $36.64 and a $328 million market cap. The food product maker’s shares, which are majority-owned by family holders and thinly traded, are up about 23% this week on no news and have more than doubled this year.

HEALTHCARE

Beauty products company Evolus, Inc. (Nasdaq: EOLS) of Newport Beach is up 4.1% to $14.66 a share and a $396 million market cap. The shares are still 51% below its 52-week high last February.
