The S&P 500 was up 0.2% in midday trading to 2,879.32.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average also rose about 0.2%, to 26,002.89.
The Nasdaq climbed 0.4% to 7,792.01.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond declined 0.7% to 2.13%.
The price of gold was 0.6% higher to $1,339.
The price of oil dipped 2.5% to $51.96 a barrel.
TECHNOLOGY
Irvine-based Alteryx Inc. (NYSE: AYX) jumped 11% to $106.05 and a $6.6 billion market cap. The data science software maker debuted a new version of its analytics platform, including an interactive guide for clients to build their own machine learning models, at its annual users’ conference today, and Salesforce.com Inc. confirmed it would but Alteryx rival Tableau Software Inc.
HEALTHCARE
ChromaDex Corp. (Nasdaq: CDXC), also in Irvine, was up 4% to $4.27 and a $237 million market cap. The nutrient maker’s shares have risen 7% since its flagship Tru Niagen product was named an ‘ingredient of the year’ by an industry trade group Friday.
