CalAtlantic Group Inc. (NYSE: CAA) in Irvine was up 1.7% to $37.72 and a $4.2 billion market cap. JMP Securities upgraded shares in the developer and home builder to “outperform” with a $44 price target.
SERVICES
ShiftPixy Inc. (NASDAQ: PIXY) in Irvine was down 4.7% to $6.31 and a $168 million market cap. The restaurant industry temp agency lost $2.7 million on revenue of $4.6 million in its most recent quarter, compared with net income of $50,000 on revenue of $2.2 million year-over-year. Shares declined by one-third this week. The company said its growth-mode spending—it launched two years ago and went public last month—contributed to the loss.
