There have been 58 new coronavirus cases reported each day on average over the past week, up from 53 for the week ending April 14.
The figure is down slightly from two weeks ago, when 60 new cases were reported on average for the week ending April 7.
For the week ending March 31, there were 49 new cases reported daily on average; the week prior, ending March 24, the average was 17.
There were 29 new cases reported Tuesday with no new deaths, bringing OC’s total to 1,691 cases and 33 deaths.
Nationally, there have been nearly 45,000 deaths; the Orange County per capita death rate is less than one-tenth of the national rate.
