Photos: U.S. Men’s National Team Train for World Cup in Orange County

The U.S. Men’s National Team, led by Team Manager Sam Zapatka, Coach Mauricio Pochettino and Team Captain Tim Ream, arrived in Orange County last weekend to start training for the 2026 FIFA World Cup at the Great Park in Irvine.

Though the Great Park’s Championship Soccer Stadium will be closed to the public while the team trains, the city and FIFA hosted thousands of fans to see the players practice in person on June 8.

See photos of the U.S. team’s first training session at the Championship Soccer Stadium. For more about the community event, see the June 15 edition of the Business Journal.
