Laguna Beach-based hospitality firm Soul Community Planet (SCP) has acquired the Albion River Inn in Mendocino County as the 10th property in its portfolio.
The 22-room inn will be renovated and renamed the SCP Mendocino Coast Lodge and will be operated jointly with the previously purchased SCP Mendocino Inn & Farm from last June.
The refresh will add a new restaurant, Terra Kitchen, to the property and includes upgrades to its guest cottages.
Previous owners Flurry Healy and Peter Wells originally opened the hotel in 1982.
SCP also added the Corcovado Wilderness Lodge in Costa Rica last December. The firm also has properties in Colorado, Oregon, and Hawaii.
