Costa Mesa-based Veritone Inc. (Nasdaq: VERI) surged 32% to $28.08 and a $785 million market cap. The artificial intelligence media company said Monday that its aiWARE operating system now supports the NVIDIA CUDA computing platform. Shares for the company are currently trading at more than 15 times their average daily volume.

Santa Ana-based collectibles authenticator Collectors Universe Inc. (Nasdaq: CLCT) rose 5.3% to $76.40 per share for a market cap of $710 million after news that the company will be acquired by group of investors led by entrepreneur and sports card collector Nat Turner, D1 Capital Partners L.P., and Cohen Private Ventures, LLC for $75.25 per share in cash for a total value of $700 million. President and CEO Joseph J. Orlando will continue to lead Collectors Universe, and its headquarters will remain in Santa Ana.
