Hyundai Motor America in Fountain Valley will let prospective buyers in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas book test drives for the 2017 Elantra through Amazon’s Prime Now service, and check out the sedan at local dealers.
The pilot program, dubbed “Prime Now. Drive Now,” will run Aug. 20-21 and Aug. 27-28. A “trained expert” will bring a vehicle to a consumer’s home, office, or other location, for a 45 to 60 minute test drive. They’ll be referred to a local dealer if they express interest in buying a car.
The program is a collaboration between Hyundai’s advertising agency of record INNOCEAN USA in Huntington Beach, its media agency of record Canvas Worldwide LLC in Playa Vista, and the DriveShop, an engagement marketing agency with an office in Orange that will conduct the test drives.
The program will be advertised on Amazon.com and other websites.
“Not only is Hyundai dedicated to making better cars,” Tim Blett, chief operating officer of INNOCEAN USA, said in a statement. “It’s also innovating by offering a better Elantra test drive experience.”
