Eon Reality’s Latest Inroads: South Sudan, Mongolia

Eon Reality, which takes users deep into the realms of extended reality, has provided its learning tools to locations around the world, and the latest are South Sudan and Mongolia.

The 25-year-old SaaS company has created what it calls the Knowledge Metaverse. Its augmented reality and virtual reality software is used by customers in a variety of educational and business applications to perceive computer-generated objects and surroundings.

The Irvine-based firm said May 20 it was launching an educational initiative in South Sudan, with 10,000 customized courses designed to create a modern workforce there.
The courses in the African country will involve immersive learning environments, Eon Reality said.

They include digital literacy for healthcare providers, sustainable agricultural practices and construction technology.

Mongolia Opening

Earlier in May, Eon Reality announced an expansion in Mongolia through the opening of the country’s first spatial artificial intelligence center. That branch of AI lets machines understand and interact with the physical world in an almost human-like way.

Last year, Eon Reality launched an education global initiative, engaging with educational leaders from over 80 countries.

The company abandoned plans for a public listing last November, blaming the financial environment at the time.
