WHY: Top official at youth-focused retailer Pacsun in Anaheim. Known for keeping the apparel company close to the pop culture mindset of its younger demographic, through a continuous slate of brand collaborations with F1 racing, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Roblox gaming. Olson is also responsible for involving shoppers in developing seasonal marketing campaigns and even designing future merchandise. Currently going after the company’s “most ambitious domestic retail expansion” in 18 years; counts 306 stores as of December 2025.
IN THE NEWS: Leading a resurgence in brick-and-mortar retail, with Pacsun reporting double-digit in-store traffic growth in 2025 and pursuing an aggressive physical expansion strategy. Pacsun is set to open its first-ever international store at the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai in spring 2026. Plans include up to 20 new stores in the Middle East – such as a flagship location in Abu Dhabi – over the next five years through an international development partnership. As for its domestic footprint, Pacsun is going after 20 to 35 new U.S. stores over the next three years, with nine leases already signed for 2026. Also launched a new shoppable mobile app this year called PS Community Hub that combines e-commerce with social media; it allows customers to purchase Pacsun products as well as create profiles to post photos and videos or act as a content creator.
