Santa Ana-based Allied Universal, the world’s largest provider of private security, said it’s acquired Total Security Services, or T.S.S., a United Kingdom-based firm.
T.S.S., a family-owned business with over 6,500 front-line staff providing service to some of the UK’s largest retailers, has more than $170 million in revenue.
“T.S.S. is the first major inorganic investment in our international business,” said Steve Jones, Global Chairman and CEO at Allied Universal.
“Our team is reviewing additional opportunities in the U.S. and internationally, and we look forward to continuing our acquisition growth strategy.”
Jones also revealed annual sales now top $20 billion, compared to $18 billion last year when it acquired G4S plc. Jones has grown the company through acquisitions and organic growth since he joined it in 1996 when it had $12 million in annual sales.
