Irvine retailer Tilly’s Inc. said Monday it hired Tricia D. Smith to be its head merchant.
Smith, who takes on the executive vice president and chief merchandising officer role, previously worked at Nordstrom for the past 25 years most recently overseeing women’s, young contemporary, designer and specialized apparel.
Smith succeeds Debbie Anker-Morris, who parted ways with the company last week.
The hiring also came with news Tilly’s promoted Chief Financial Officer Michael L. Henry, who added the executive vice president title to his role at the company.
