New Asics Program Features Virtual Training Sessions with Pro-Athletes

Irvine-based Asics America Corp. announced the launch of a running program that allows users to virtually train with sponsored pro-athletes.

The “ASICS Pro Series” offers treadmill running workouts led by Norwegian Olympic gold medalist Kristian Blummenfelt, South African Olympic bronze medalist Henri Schoeman, British triathlete Beth Potter and Scottish-British runner Eilish McColgan.

The program, running from June 20 to July 15, stems from Asics’ partnership with Zwift, an online platform that gamifies workouts for runners, cyclists and triathletes.

Participating Zwift users can wear Asics’ latest apparel and running shoes, the METASPEED EDGE+, in-game for free, after completing an athlete-led workout, the company said.
