Costa Mesa-based auto dealership Theodore Robins Ford received the Ford Motor Company F-150 Lightning, an EV pickup truck, on Friday to deliver to the first customer for the vehicle in California, according to company officials.
Standard-range battery for the F-150 Lightning offers roughly 230 miles. Charging the truck from 15% to 100% takes about eight hours, with an average range of 30 miles per charging hour. The F-150 Lightning also sports a targeted 563 horsepower and a high-tech front trunk.
Robins Ford is the oldest dealership in Southern California and is celebrating over 100 years in business this year. For more on Robins Ford and its history, see the June 13 print edition of the Business Journal.
