Jewelry Line Gorjana’s Retail Presence Moves Inland

Laguna Beach jewelry line Gorjana was largely focused on direct-to-consumer e-tailing during the pandemic, and has now resumed making big moves offline.

With vaccinations up and state reopenings in play for a few months now, the line known for its delicate accessories meant for layering continues to chip away at an aggressive brick-and-mortar retail push with an Austin, Texas door now open in the city’s famed Music Lane.

The company said the store on South Congress Avenue is its second location inland after Scottsdale, Ariz. Many of the stores’ locations have so far focused on markets relatively close to the coast, including Malibu, Venice and San Diego.

The Austin location boasts in-store engraving and a mural outside done in partnership with local artists Molly McFee and Kayla Koslow.

The company, which was said to be approaching $100 million in sales pre-pandemic, said it expects to continue opening additional stores this year.

Gorjana is still fully owned by founders Jason and Gorjana Reidel, the husband-and-wife duo who started the business in 2004.

The jewelry brand entered physical retail in 2016 with its first store in Laguna Beach. Locally, it also operates stores in Newport Beach and Irvine, in addition to now 17 other locations.
