Irvine-based motocross company Fox Racing is being acquired by Vista Outdoor Inc. (NYSE: VSTO) in a $540 million deal.
Fox, which manufactures motocross and mountain bike equipment and apparel, is the 40th brand to join Vista Outdoor’s portfolio. It’s the largest buy to date for Anoka, Minn.-based Vista.
Fox CEO Jeffrey McGuane will continue to lead the company after the acquisition is complete.
