Store Growth for Juice It Up and Mountain Mike’s

Restaurant concepts co-owned by Chris Britt and Ed St. Geme, Juice It Up and Mountain Mike’s Pizza LLC, are on track for store growth initiatives.

The Newport Beach-based smoothie chain reported five new openings since May and has several more on deck for this year and the next. Its main markets include California, Arizona and Nevada.

Focusing on the Western U.S., Juice It Up’s main goal is to reach 200 units by 2027.

Fast-casual pizza chain Mountain Mike’s, also in Newport Beach, has opened 10 new restaurants this year across five states. Mountain Mike’s opened 18 locations in 2021 and anticipates 30 more in 2022 for its goal of 400 by 2025.

Both Mountain Mike’s president Jim Metevier and Juice It Up president Susan Taylor were named on Fast Casual’s Top 25 executive list.

Same store sales were up 7% in the first quarter of 2022 for both franchises.
