Walmart employees will be able to attend Irvine-based Brandman University for $1 a day as part of a new program the retail giant said on Wednesday. It will also work with University of Florida and Bellevue University in Bellevue, Neb., on the program.
Walmart plans to subsidize the cost of tuition, books and fees for its full-time, part-time and salaried employees who pursue associate’s or bachelor’s degrees in business or supply chain management.
The company said it chose Brandman for its “focus and strong outcomes on serving working adult learners.”
The associate education program was created in partnership with Guild Education, an education benefits platform that includes Brandman in its network.
