Irvine-based La Jolla Group Inc. named Jim Shubin vice president of sales and marketing for its True Love & False Idols brand, which it acquired earlier this year. La Jolla Group is an apparel licensing company
that makes surf-inspired clothes under
the O’Neill, Rusty and Lost brands and motocross-style clothes under the Metal Mulisha label. Shubin will oversee de-
velopment, partnerships and global distribution.
ARCHITECTURE
Northern California’s Association of AE Business Leaders added Charles Lake and Randy Regier to its board. The group supports the architecture and engineering industries. Lake is vice president and chief operating officer of engineering company Spec Services Inc. in Fountain Valley. Regier is chief executive of Taylor Architects Inc. in Newport Beach.

Amy DiSimone joined Lake Forest-based Accurate Background Inc. as vice president of operations. DiSimone previously worked at Irvine-based Hireright Inc. as director of operations. Accurate Background screens potential workers using criminal background checks, drug tests, employment verifications and other services.
HEALTH
California Assisted Living Association added Danielle Morgan to its board. Morgan is the vice president of operations for Irvine-based MBK Senior Living LLC, a unit of MBK Real Estate LLC, also of Irvine.
LAW
San Francisco-based Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP promoted Thomas Gray to partner in its Irvine office. Gray practices intellectual property litigation along with trade secret litigation. He also is a member of the firm’s intellectual property group.
Barbara Ericson joined San Diego-based Luce, Forward, Hamil-ton & Scripps LLP as marketing manager in its Irvine office. Ericson previously was marketing manager at Green-berg Traurig LLP in Irvine. She will be coordinating marketing and business development.
Stephen Sundvold joined Jams Resolution Center in Orange as an arbitration panelist. Sundvold is a retired Orange County Super-ior judge. He will mediate and arbitrate disputes in areas such as employment, insurance, medical malpractice and others. Jams provides arbitration and mediation for more than 10,000 cases per year.

Tim Cromwell joined the board of the Ped-iatric Cancer Research Foundation in Irvine. Cromwell will focus on maintaining and in-creasing the foundation’s donations. He works as the director of business development for Irvine-based R.D. Olson Construction.

Tomoko Matsumoto was hired as vice president at Cresa Partners LLC in Newport Beach. Matsumoto has three years of real estate experience and holds broker’s licenses in California and Hawaii. She specializes in representing Japanese buyers and sellers of office and industrial properties.

Aliso Viejo-based Global Language Solutions Inc. hired Russell Trounce as vice president of sales. Global Language is a translation and interpreting company. Trounce previously was vice president of sales at Spain’s Tek Translation International.

Fullerton-based iChange Networks Inc. named Stuart MacFarlane as chief executive. IChange runs a Web site for people looking to lose weight. MacFarlane previously was principal at Los Angeles-based Momentum Venture Management LLC, where he still is on its investment committee.
Toshiba America Infor-mation Systems Inc. in Irvine promoted David Harshman to vice president and general counsel. Harshman will be responsible for leading the legal team in litigation management, protection of intellectual property rights, as well as other legal functions. He has worked for Japan’s Toshiba Corp. for 19 years.
Bob Brunson was named associate director at TechAmerica in its Irvine office. Brunson previously managed marketing for the software division of the Aliso Viejo office of radio station operator Clear Channel Communications Inc. TechAmerica advocates for its 1,500 members, which are technology companies and groups.
