Lugano’s most recent marketing campaign features familiar faces from Orange County’s business and philanthropy scenes.
The campaign, dubbed “Simply One of a Kind,” features nine of the luxe jeweler’s notable clients shot by renowned portrait photographer Platon and wearing different Lugano pieces.
Entrepreneur and local philanthropist Charlie Zhang and his wife Ling are one of the featured couples.
“We sought to highlight stories that exemplify the power of perserverance and purpose, and whose influence resonates beyond their achievements,” president Josh Gaynor told the Business Journal.
Zhang currently runs Laguna Niguel-based investment company Zion Enterprises and is the founder of Chinese fast-food chain Pick Up Stix, which he sold for $50 million in 2001.
He moved from China to the U.S. in the early 1980s with only $20 in his pocket.
The Zhang family is deeply involved in OC philanthropy as regular supporters of multiple organizations such as Orange County Music & Dance, Pacific Symphony, City of Hope and local universities.
The Business Journal named the couple to its list in May of the 50 most influential entrepreneurs and executives involved in Orange County philanthropy.
Others spotlighted in the campaign include Andy Warhol muse Jane Holzer and equestrian Georgina Bloomberg.
