OC500 2024: JONATHON VOPINEK & TATIANNA VOPINEK

JONATHON VOPINEK
FOUNDER, CEO, PRESIDENT
WHITE LABEL ASSET MANAGEMENT

TATIANNA VOPINEK
CO-FOUNDER
SAVANNAH’S REACH

WHO: Jonathon Vopinek three years ago started Irvine’s White Label Asset Management, a hospitality investment and asset management firm. Its work has quickly grown to over 40 hotels. It provides management and consulting services for nearly $2.7B in hotel properties across 16 states and represents nearly 20 brands.

WHY: Prior to launching White Label, Vopinek and his wife, Tatianna, started Savannah’s Reach, a local nonprofit named after their late daughter to help medically fragile children. Savannah’s Reach now serves as the giving arm of White Label, which donates 10% of every dollar it makes to support medically fragile and abandoned children.

IN THE NEWS: Late last year, White Label landed one of its biggest wins, to asset manage the Montage Kapalua Bay luxury resort on the Hawaiian island of Maui. Got business after sale of the 146-key resort—widely considered the premier hotel property in Maui—to a joint venture headed by KWC Management of Memphis, Tenn. Other investors that were part of the purchase include Vopinek’s real estate holding company, Lionshead Capital Partners.

NOTABLE: Vopinek knows the island of Maui well; he previously served as EVP of asset management and marketing for Newport Beach-based R.D. Olson Development, which has built several hotels on the island.

IN THEIR WORDS: “Our goal from the start was to have a giving arm. Giving back is what drives each of us.” —Jonathon Vopinek
