WHY: Named last year to head Orange County’s largest university by students—43,662 students in fall 2024. Previously spent six years as president of the University of Southern Indiana, following eight years as provost.  

IN THE NEWS: Received $4.5M gift from Jerry Conrey and his wife Dr. Victoria Shook Conrey, naming the school’s business startup hub the Conrey Center for Entrepreneurship.   

NOTABLE: Construction underway on $33M Landmark Hall, which is expected to be completed in 2027.  

QUOTABLE: “The Conrey Center for Entrepreneurship will serve as a launchpad for innovation, empowering our students and future graduates to generate ideas into opportunities that will make a lasting impact on the world.”
