The S&P 500 was down 1% to 2,449.31. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.6% to 21,912.33. The NASDAQ was down 1.6% to 6,249.47.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond fell 0.9% to 2.22%.
The price of gold rose 0.9% to $1,291.
HEALTHCARE
ICU Medical Inc. (NASDAQ: ICUI) was down 1.3% to $169.60 and a $3.4 billion market cap. The maker of infusion devices lost $37.1 million in its most recent quarter, on revenue of $331.5 million.
Biolase Inc. (NASDAQ: BIOL) in Irvine was up 8.2% to 53 cents and a $40 million market cap. The dental laser maker’s shares had declined 40% this week on lower-than-expected quarterly revenue and a net loss.
MYnd Analytics Inc. (NASDAQ: MYND) in Mission Viejo was up 10% to $3.85 and a $16 million market cap on high volume. The company produces reports used in making clinical mental healthcare decisions and by midday traded shares at a rate double its daily average.
