Irvine-based Anduril Industries, the high-tech defense and border protection company founded by OC entrepreneur Palmer Luckey, has raised $450 million in a Series D funding round, the company said today.
The latest financing more than doubles Anduril’s valuation to $4.6 billion from its last raise in July 2020, according to an Anduril statement.
The latest round was led by Elad Gil, an early investor in the company.
Andreessen Horowitz, 8VC, Founders Fund, General Catalyst, Lux Capital, Valor Equity Partners, and D1 Capital Partners participated in the funding round.
The investment will accelerate Anduril’s development of technologies including autonomous drones and other hardware built around its artificial intelligence platform that uses computer vision, machine learning and mesh networking.
