SALES

Vesuki Inc. bought a 24,922-square-foot industrial unit at 1350 Lambert Ave., Suite A in Brea from W.L. Butler Construction Inc. for $2.2 million. Steve Crane of Lee & Associates-Orange represented Vesuki. Jim deRegt of Lee & Associates-Newport Beach represented Butler.

Newport Beach-based Lyon Capital Ventures bought the 237-unit Pacific Pointe Apartments in Long Beach from FowlerShore & Flanagan for $17.5 million. Kevin King of Marcus & Millichap represented Lyon. Sean Deasy of CB Richard Ellis represented FowlerShore & Flanagan.

Touchstone & Angelo Gordon purchased three office units at 15901, 15941 and 15991 Red Hill Ave. at Warner Red Hill Business Center in Tustin from PaineWebber Properties. Peter N. Andrich of Cushman Realty’s Orange County office represented both parties.

Johnson Manufacturing bought a 12,094-square-foot building at 15201 Connector Lane in Huntington Beach from Robert McNeal for $1 million. Mike Bouma of Voit Commercial Brokerage’s Anaheim Metro office represented Johnson Manufacturing. Grubb & Ellis represented McNeal.

The Wilson Trust purchased a 25,038-square-foot building at 17391 Murphy Ave. in Irvine from Mac Duff LP for $2.2 million. Mike Lawrence of Marcus & Millichap represented the trust. Mike Hefner of Voit Commercial Brokerage’s Anaheim Metro office and John Griffin of Voit’s Irvine office represented Mac Duff LP.


LEASES

Pro Sports Technologies Inc. leased a 6,400-square-foot industrial space in Santa Fe Springs from The Shidler Group for $0.2 million. Kevin Lee of ERA New Star Realty and Investment represented Pro Sports. Sam Chu and Rick McGeagh of CB Richard Ellis represented The Shidler Group.

Bear Forest Products Inc. leased a 95,376-square-foot industrial building in Mira Loma from Oltmans Investment Co. for $1.7 million. Jon Passafiume of Lee & Associates-Orange and Finn Comer of Lee & Associates-Riverside represented Bear. Scott and Terry Evans of Cushman & Wakefield represented Oltmans.

Ethentica Inc. leased a 33,915-square-foot office building at 26940 Laguna Hills Dr. in Town Center Corporate Park in Aliso Viejo from Shea Properties. The 6-year lease was valued at $4 million. Jeff Manley and Randy Teteak of The Staubach Co. represented Ethentica. Doug Mathews and Gary Allen of Grubb & Ellis’ Newport Beach office represented Shea Properties.

Rare Medium leased a 39,786-square-foot space at 2850 S. Red Hill Ave. in Santa Ana from LNR Property Corp. and Werdin Corp. Dave Howard of GVA Beitler represented Rare Medium. David Desper and Bob Davis of CB Richard Ellis’ Newport Beach office represented LNR and Werdin.

Microsemi Corp. leased a 17,290-square-foot building at 2381 Morse Ave. in Irvine from Irvine Office Venture. The five-year lease was valued at $2 million. Mike Collins of Collins Commercial Real Estate represented both parties.

T-Shirt City leased a 111,018-square-foot industrial building at 1920 Malvern Ave. in Fullerton from Legacy Partners for $2.7 million. Ian Britton, Bob Goodmanson, Brad Bierbaum and Brian DeRevere of CB Richard Ellis represented T-Shirt City.

J-MAR Semiconductor leased a 26,000-square-foot industrial/corporate headquarters facility at 1 Vanderbilt in Irvine from Western States Technologies. The five-year lease was valued at $2 million. J-MAR was represented by Mark Weeks of Voit Commercial Brokerage’s Irvine office. Trent Walker and Jeff Diltz of Voit’s Irvine office represented Western States. Also, Data Connection leased a 15,000-square-foot space at 3 Goodyear in Irvine from Western States. The five-year lease was valued at $1 million. Matus and Christine Bowen of Lee & Associates’ Irvine Spectrum office represented Data Connection. Trent Walker of Voit represented Western States. In addition, Virtium Technology leased a 14,000-square-foot space at 51 Parker in Irvine. The three-year lease was valued at $0.6 million. Mike Nguyen of Stop Realty represented Virtium Technology. John Salmon represented Western States.


OTHER

Nielsen Dillingham Builders Inc. is building a 321,517-square-foot Embassy Suites Hotel in Garden Grove for Landmark Companies LLC. The $29 million project will be completed in May. The 13-story, 375-suite hotel will feature an atrium that extends from the first floor to the roof with skylights, interior and exterior water features, and stone cladding.

Snyder Langston, Irvine, began construction of a U.S. headquarters for Sekisui TA Industries Inc. in Brea. The 185,000-square-foot project is valued at $7 million. The complex will feature 30,000 square feet of office space, and a manufacturing plant and warehouse facility. In addition, Snyder Langston was awarded a construction services contract for the $68 million revitalization and expansion of the Silicon Valley WAVE retail and entertainment center.

The Southern California Chapter of the American Public Works Association bestowed “Project of the Year” status to the City of Long Beach Fleet Services facility. Snyder Langston managed the design and construction of the $26-million project that sits on 27 acres at Willow Street and Temple Avenue.

Stratis Financial Corp., Huntington Beach, funded more than $86 million in residential real estate mortgages through the third quarter of 2000. The fund includes 365 loans in Los Angeles and Orange counties, with an average loan amount of $235,600. Stratis, which opened its doors in January, has a second office in Torrance.

RBF Consulting was awarded the contract to provide engineering services for the Integrated Chino/Arlington Desalination System by the Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority. The project is one of the first to obtain funding from the Proposition 13 Water Bond.
