Aliso Viejo-based QLogic Corp. plans to open a service center in Ireland, the company said Tuesday.
The service center could have up to 100 workers in the next five years, QLogic said.
The 20,000-square-foot facility is based in Blanchardstown, a suburb of Dublin, and it set to help the storage device maker fill orders more quickly.
“When customers submit orders, or trigger demand, we’ll be able to configure on demand and fulfill upside orders in a matter of days or even hours, instead of weeks,” said Shane Creegan, director of Irish operations for QLogic. “We’ll be able to turn on a dime and help our customers react more quickly to changing market demands and execute on business opportunities without delay.”
