Darlene Lavender has joined Costa Mesa-based Bayport Advertising as creative director. Bayport Advertising is the advertising division of Warmington Homes. Lavender will oversee Bayport’s advertising and direct-mail campaigns, community brochures and print-related functions.

BANKING

William F. G. Carroll has been appointed executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief credit officer of Newport Beach-based CommerceWest Bank. Carroll rec-ently served as executive vice president of Bridgeport, Conn.-based Peo-ple’s Bank. He will work with senior managers and oversee credit quality of the bank.

BUSINESS SERVICES

Orange-based RCM Technologies Inc. has named Brenda Ingham senior account manager. Ingham will expand the company’s operations in information technology, staffing and software systems.

CONSTRUCTION

Tustin-based DMK Inc. hired Stephanie Miller as business development associate. Miller will work with the company’s vice president to implement sales and marketing goals. She has 10 years of construction industry experience and recently worked as marketing coordinator for Orange Coast magazine.

EDUCATION

Concordia University in Irvine has recently formed a President’s Advisory Council to advise the university’s administration on academic, strategic and community activities. There are 15 council members, including Walter Straub, chief executive of Irvine-based Rainbow Technologies Inc., and Thomas Gephart, chairman of Ventana Global Ltd. in Irvine.

FINANCIAL SERVICES

Woodland Hills-based David Lewis Co., a financial resources company, has opened a Newport Beach office. Mal-issa Parker has been named regional managing director. Recently, Parker was Orange County reg-ional vice president at Robert Half Inter-national Inc. Maria Lankenau and Ken-dra Lohr also have joined the office.

GOVERNMENT

Serge Tomassian has been elected chairman of the World Affairs Council of Orange County’s board of trustees. Tomassian is an attorney and partner at Irvine-based law firm Throckmorton, Beckstrom & Tomassian LLP. He also serves on the board of directors of the Orange County Bar Association.

HEALTHCARE

Irvine-based Allergan Inc. has promoted Jeff Edwards to vice president for corporate development. Edwards has been with the company for nine years and has previous experience at what’s now BNP Paribas and Security Pacific National Bank. Additionally, the company appointed Jim Hindman as senior vice president, treasurer, investor relations and risk. Hindman has been with the company 18 years.

LAW

Irvine-based Snell & Wilmer LLP has added Josette M. Mollica to its attorney roster. Mollica attended University of Michigan Law School and received a law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her practice is concentrated in business and finance law.

REAL ESTATE

Susan Carter has joined The Irvine Company Office Properties, Newport Beach, as technology leasing director of its Irvine Spectrum buildings. Previously, she was a marketing agent for Insignia/O’Donnell Partners and Irvine-based Dolphin Partners Inc.

Irvine-based Action Property Manage-ment has promoted Kerry Leavitt director of developer services. Leavitt joined the company in 1999. He will be responsible for marketing, consulting, and de-veloper transitions.

TECHNOLOGY

Software company Jon Goldman Associates Inc., Orange, has promoted Kerry Eszlinger to vice president and chief operating officer. Eszlinger will be in charge of the day-to-day operations including software development. Eszlinger joined the company in 1992.

Anaheim-based Cristek Interconnects Inc. has appointed Bill Leavitt and Lisa Amling regional sales managers. Recently, Leavitt worked as a chemist for Costa Mesa-based ICN Pharm-aceuticals Inc. and will manage outside representatives for the Western region. Amling will oversee the company’s eastern and southeastern regions and was previously general manager of Southern Aviation Maintenance, Santa Ana.
