Hein & Associates LLP promoted Larry Schultz to audit partner and Scott Appel to partner-in-charge in its Irvine office. Schultz assists with compliance matters and Sarbanes-Oxley controls and reporting. Appel specializes in Securities and Exchange Commission reporting.
ARCHITECTURE
MVE & Partners promoted two members of its Irvine office to senior associate partners. Robert Calnon joined MVE in 1999 and participates in project staff forecasting, budgeting and office training. Tori Fulwider manages accounting, budget and tax systems for the firm. Three others were promoted to associate partner. Luis Enciso manages project teams, deadlines and consultant coordination. James P. Montero joined the firm in 2003 and administers all phases of project development. Wahid Yonus is a project manager and mentor to junior staff members.
KTGY Group Inc. added Lalaine Tan-aka as a principal in the firm’s Irvine office. Tanaka has more than 20 years of architectural design experience. Some of her projects have included Hilton Grand Vacations Club Resort in Las Vegas and Hilton Kohala Suites Resorts in Hawaii.
BANKING
Nina Altountash joined Comerica Bank in Mission Viejo as assistant vice president and banking center manager. Altountash was the vice president and financial center manager for Citibank in Newport Beach and has 16 years of experience in the financial industry.
FINANCE
Capital TempFunds named Stan Marcus senior vice president of business development in its Irvine office. Marcus has more than 25 years of experience in the commercial finance industry. He has worked with asset-based lenders like GE Capital, Congress Financial and BNY Financial. His experience includes refinancing, recapitalization and acquisition financing.
Hanley Investment Group Real Estate Advisors in Irvine promoted Eric L. Werner from senior associate to vice president at Hanley Investment Group. In 2007, Werner earned the Top Producer Award as the No. 1 agent at Hanley Investment Group. He is a member of ICSC Next Generation and is a member of the Young Adults Business Forum.
LAW
Thomas Whitelaw & Tyler LLP hired Carolyn N. Ko and Kerri A. Jaffe at its Irvine office. Ko has focused her practice on intellectual property and complex business litigation. She previously worked for Wu & Cheung in Irvine and Stetina Brunda Garred & Brucker in Aliso Viejo. Jaffe recently worked for Gwilliam, Ivary, Chiosso, Cavalli & Brewer in Oakland.
Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP named associate Hans Lauterbach a partner in the firm’s Irvine office. Lauterbach focuses on areas of commercial property acquisition, development, leasing and construction. He has received American Jurisprudence Awards in real property, torts and remedies.
NONPROFIT
Tom Klingenmeier was hired as general manager of the Sawdust Art Festival. Klingenmeier was formerly director of security for the festival. He taught various courses at Laguna Beach High School and was the athletic director before retiring in 2005.
REAL ESTATE
Aliso Viejo-based Shea Properties named Jeff Cunningham senior vice president of construction management. He has led construction of office, retail and mixed-use projects including shopping destinations at the Block at Orange and Downtown Disney in Anaheim. Most recently Cunningham was vice president/division manager for the California Division of Bayley Construction.
TECHNOLOGY
High Tower Software Inc. in Aliso Viejo promoted regional sales director Bill Adams to vice president of sales. Prior to joining High Tower, Adams worked for eEye Digital of Aliso Viejo, Nexsys and Websense Inc. He will oversee High Tower’s North American sales groups and its national network of software resellers.
