Wendy Richards, CPA of Huntington Beach, was elected president of the OC/Long Beach chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants for 2007-08. David Wasson joined Austin AECOM’s Orange office as vice president of business development. He has 20 years experience in the life science industry. Wasson will develop new business in the renewable energy and higher education markets.

Scott Bollens became the Drew, Chace and Erin Warmington chair in the Social Ecology of Peace and International Cooperation at University of California, Irvine. Bollens has taught at UC Irvine since 1991. The endowment chair, created in 1989, is dedicated to researching pathways to peace and international cooperation.
California State University, Fullerton’s Department of Music added three faculty members. Jazz pianist Bill Cunliffe will manage the jazz small group/combo program and teach jazz piano. Music educator Christopher Peterson will oversee the choral music education program and supervise student teachers in the music education program. Pianist Alison Edwards moves from adjunct to full-time status and will manage the piano pedagogy program.

C.N. “Raj” Rangaraj was named vice president and division quality officer at URS Corp. in Santa Ana. Rangaraj has more than 25 years experience as a project manager and technical consultant. He was recently principal engineer and regional quality officer. Rangaraj will direct the URS Division’s quality management program in the U.S.

Monarch Staffing Inc. hired Quang X. Pham as president and chief operating officer. Previously, Pham worked as vice president and division general manager for QTC medical services. Additionally, the company named Matthew Szot chief financial officer and added Rodney McDermott to its board. Szot previously was chief financial officer and secretary of Rip Curl Inc. McDermott is a cofounder and managing director of McDermott & Bull Executive Search.

Seal is a specialist in industrial real estate throughout Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties. In 2007, he was named a top 10 producer of all GVA Daum’s brokers. Seal was drafted by the San Diego Padres from UCLA in 1997.

Romuald Crist was hired as assistant manager and sommelier for the Palm Terrace Restaurant & Lounge at the Island Hotel Newport Beach. Crist previously worked at the Bayside Restaurant and has been an assistant manager with Chanel.
