Jordan Architects Inc. in San Clemente hired Dora Taylor as director of interior design. She also will head the company’s business development team. Taylor has worked in the field of commercial interiors for more than 20 years.
CONSTRUCTION
San Diego-based Roel Construction Co. has promoted Mike Goodjohn from project manager to director of preconstruction services in its Irvine office. Goodjohn has been in the construction industry for more than 10 years and joined Roel in 2000.
Redwood Shores-based Wentz Group promoted Tom Sestak and Jim McCown to senior project managers in the Irvine office. Sestak has more than 12 years experience in the construction industry and has worked on projects including luxury resorts, office campuses and retail and medical projects. McCown has more than 17 years experience in the industry and has worked on numerous tilt-up facilities, public buildings, hospitality work and commercial buildings.
FINANCE
Julie Orr joined Ernst & Young International as an international tax partner in its Irvine office. Orr will oversee international tax services for Orange County and will work with companies in Southern California, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada and New Mexico. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Orr was vice president of taxes for a medical instruments company in the county.
LAW
Alexander L. Conti joined the Irvine office of Snell and Wilmer as partner. Conti specializes in serious personal injury and property damage lawsuits, specifically in sport-utility rollover litigation.
MARKETING
Irvine-based BDS Marketing Inc. hired Mark D. Karnes as director of client strategy. Karnes comes to BDS from Motorola Inc., where he served as director of retail marketing.
RiechesBaird Advertising in Irvine appointed Bill Thompson to lead a new company unit, RiechesBaird Direct. Prior to joining RiechesBaird, Thompson led demand generation and sales process strategy consulting for Xerox Corp. Julie Stockton was named senior brand manager at RiechesBaird. Prior to joining the ad shop, Stockton was an account executive at BLVDwest in Newport Beach.
Tustin-based The Rankin Group named Kevin Wickersham as marketing specialist. He has a background in sales, marketing and business financial consulting. He previously worked for Chatsworth-based Wastech Controls and Engineering in business development.
MEDIA
Lisa Murray was hired as marketing director of Irvine-based Entrepreneur Media Inc. She will work out of Entrepreneur’s Irvine office.
NONPROFIT
The KOCE-TV Foundation’s board named Clarence “C.B.” Brown as a member. Brown is the vice president of corporate communications at Southern California Edison Co. Brown also is a board member of the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House.
The California Avocado Commission, based in Irvine, promoted Jan DeLyster to vice president, marketing. She has been with the commission for more than five years. She previously served as the chief executive of the Fresh Produce and Floral Council for 14 years.
Roy A. Kellerman joined the Bell Tower Foundation, an organization that is raising funds for a community center in Rancho Santa Margarita. Kellerman previously worked for the Boys & Girls Club of Spokane County in Washington.
REAL ESTATE
Irvine-based Keystone Pacific Property Management Inc. named Daphne Le new development project coordinator for the Irvine office. Jay Johnson was named associate community association manager for the company’s Rancho Santa Margarita office.
Merit Property Management Inc., based in Mission Viejo, promoted Brian Taylor to director of operations for the Rancho Santa Margarita Landscape and Recreation Corp. in Rancho Santa Margarita. Taylor previously served as project manager for the company.
TECHNOLOGY
RFDomus, an Irvine-based wireless chip designer, named Kevin Strong as executive vice president of business development. Prior to joining RFDomus, Strong was president and chief executive of Pictos Technologies Inc. in Newport Beach. He also previously held management positions at Conexant Systems Inc., Pictos’ former parent company.
Irvine-based FieldCentrix Inc. named Richard Roll as chief executive. He formerly was president and chief operating officer of Epicor Software Corp. Roll succeeds Tracy Price, co-founder of FieldCentrix, who will remain chairman of the company.
Hula Software in Foothill Ranch, which provides software applications and technology services to restaurants and food service businesses, appointed Greg L. Bourdon as director of sales and marketing. Bourdon has more than 20 years of experience in software sales and company management.
